Prayer times and adhan
The five times for your location, the next one counting down, and an adhan or a quieter notification — chosen separately for each prayer, because Fajr and Asr are not the same problem.
Location is used only for this and for the Qibla, only while the app is open, and it never leaves the device. If you would rather not give it, set your city by hand instead — the times are the same either way.
Each prayer has its own reminder setting. Many people want the full adhan for Maghrib and something quiet for Fajr, or nothing at all at work; one switch for all five would be the wrong shape.
The next prayer is always on the home screen with the time remaining, which turns out to be the number people actually check.
What you get
Where you are
By location, or by a city you set by hand.
Per-prayer reminders
Full adhan, a quiet alert, or nothing, for each.
Next prayer, counting down
On the home screen, where you will see it.
Works offline
Times are calculated on the device, not fetched.
How it works
Let it find you, or tell it
Allow location once, or open Prayer Times and set your city. Nothing about the feature changes either way.
Set each prayer's reminder
In Prayer Times, tap a prayer to choose its alert. They are independent of one another.
Anchor other reminders to it
Reading and azkar reminders can be set relative to a prayer, so they move with the season instead of against it.
Goes well with
Qibla compass
Which way to face, in a room you do not know.
Morning and evening azkar
The day's remembrance, with a counter that keeps your place.
Daily goals and gentle reminders
Nudges timed against the prayer, so they land when somebody is free.
Hijri calendar
The Hijri and Gregorian dates side by side, with Ramadan, Ashura and Arafah marked.
