Hifz with AI
Open a surah you are memorising, start reciting, and watch the words light up as you say them. Where you pause or slip is where the highlight stops, so you can see it instead of guessing.
Most people memorise alone and have nobody to recite to. This is the nearest thing: the app listens while you recite and follows along in the text, highlighting each word as it hears it. When you stop, the highlight stops — and the word it stopped on is the word you could not remember.
The recognition runs entirely on your device, with a model the app carries itself. No audio is recorded, none is stored, and none is sent anywhere. Your voice reciting the Quran is not something we want a copy of.
The model is delivered as an on-demand download the first time you open this screen — about 60 MB, once. After that the feature works with no connection at all.
It is a mirror, not a judge. It shows you where you faltered; what you do about it is between you and what you are memorising.
What you get
Word-by-word following
The text keeps pace with your voice.
Entirely on-device
Nothing recorded, nothing uploaded, nothing kept.
Works offline
A connection is needed once, for the model.
Any surah you are on
Practise what you are learning, not a fixed curriculum.
How it works
Open Hifz, then Practice
Pick the surah you want to recite. The first time, the app downloads its speech model — around 60 MB, and only once.
Allow the microphone
Asked for here and nowhere else in the app. Decline it and everything else still works; only this screen needs it.
Recite
Read aloud at your own pace. Words light up as the app hears them; the highlight stops where you stop.
Go again
Look at where it stopped, revise that line, and start over. That loop is the whole feature.
